Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the StockLog desktop software and the stocklog.in website (together, the "Service"), operated from India ("we", "us"). By installing StockLog or purchasing a subscription you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

StockLog is offline-first billing, inventory and khata (ledger) software for retail businesses. The software runs on your computer and stores your business data locally on your device. Our servers are used only for account registration, sign-in, licence activation, subscription management and optional services you enable.

2. Accounts

You register with your mobile number and a password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and device PINs confidential and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate business information — it appears on the invoices you generate.

3. Trial and subscriptions

4. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use StockLog for your own business on the permitted number of devices. You may not resell, sub-license, reverse engineer or tamper with the software or its licensing mechanism.

5. Your data and your responsibilities

Your sales, inventory and customer data live on your computer. You are responsible for taking backups (the app provides backup tools) and for the accuracy of invoices, taxes and statutory filings you produce using the Service. StockLog assists with GST-ready documents but does not constitute tax, legal or accounting advice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, to send spam or unsolicited messages, or to infringe the rights of others. WhatsApp sending features operate from your own number with your consent and are subject to WhatsApp's terms.

7. Availability and changes

Billing and core features work offline. Online features (sign-in, activation, subscriptions) depend on our servers and third-party services and may occasionally be unavailable. We may update the software and these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data where backups were not maintained.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time; your locally stored data remains on your device.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh having exclusive jurisdiction.
